Official Community Plans

Official Community Plans

Imagine you know a property is designated high-rise before the owner does.

Here is your next lottery ticket

Tracking Official Community Plan updates throughout Greater Vancouver

This is your guide to either:

  • Finding your next lottery ticket by investing into an area that is getting upzoned in the near future.
  • Staying away from areas getting upzoned in the future to avoid the hassle of evolving communities and moving.

Communities are always changing and adapting. Municipalities address progress by consulting residents within specific areas to conduct Official Community Plans (OCP). An OCP is a guideline for future growth of a community that outlines development potential, population growth, servicing, infrastructure, community amenities and many more aspects involved in city planning.

These are not static and Council/Planning will conduct continual reviews and revisions. This means there is possibilities to change your designation or that yours could change in the future depending on your specific property. These are essential for Land assemblies as they designate the development potential of your property. The ApartmentBlocks team connects with planners, councillors, and city staff to ensure the most up to date information is available.

Make sure to contact us if you think there is a rationale to improve your designation as we continue to successfully lobby for owners.
