What is the Vancouver SRP?

The Secured Rental Policy (SRP), approved by the City of Vancouver in December 2021, allows for 4 to 6 storey condominiums to be built along main arterial routes and local streets.

The SRP encourages the construction of secure rental housing through incentives, including:

  • Increased building height and floor area
  • Waiver of development cost levies
  • Reduced parking requirements
  • Unit size relaxations
